I try to give an update on interviews or share things I’m learning from interviews about this time each month.
Recently, I interviewed a mom about her experience. I’ve known her since grad school – 14 years – but I didn’t know her story about moving to part-time until I interviewed another mom from grad school in late March. And that recent interview has accelerated things for me since she suggested some amazing Facebook groups. I’m so excited to say that I’ve completed over 80 interviews now (of the 100+ I’m trying to do).
I’m starting to think about actual writing, although I will first have to do a lot of analysis on the information from the interviews. And there is a lot more research to do in the coming months on some of the ideas I have for the book, based on what I’m learning from interviews. It’s all coming into focus a bit more, which is exciting and scary at the same time.
This Facebook group has a lot of moms from the interviews that I’ve done, so again I thank you for sharing your story. This book wouldn’t happen without your stories and your continued support.
I’d also like to invite you all to share any success stories or happy or fun moments in the comments. I would love to have this group support each other when we each need it and provide ideas AND celebrate each other in those moments of success and fun and happiness.
